DRMS Pricing Update – Effective February 1, 2026

What’s Changing

Beginning February 1, 2026, DRMS is introducing a simplified pricing structure designed to make investments easier to understand, reduce complexity, and increase the value delivered to every herd.

One key update: All DRMS processing herds now receive access to the HerdHQ platform.

This update replaces an à-la-carte model with clearer, more predictable pricing and more tools included upfront.

Why DRMS Is Making This Change

This pricing update is driven by customer feedback and supports DRMS’s role as a producer-focused, non-profit organization.

The updated model allows DRMS to:

Simplify pricing and reduce complexity
Make herd management investments easier to understand and plan for
Expand access to decision-support tools like HerdHQ
Continue reinvesting in product development and customer support
Sustain long-term service to the dairy industry as a non-profit

What Every Processing Herd Now Receives

All herds processing through DRMS now receive the following:

HerdHQ, included at no additional cost
Access to fast, visual, and actionable herd insights
A base processing fee calculated as a per-cow, per-month charge (with a monthly minimum) and billed on test day, adjusted for test interval
A Large Herd Discount on processing fees and DHIA reports for herds with more than 500 cows, applied on a sliding scale

As part of this update, DRMS is also rolling out HerdHQ Version 2 - the next evolution of the HerdHQ platform. HerdHQ Version 2 brings an improved experience, with easier access to tools and ongoing enhancements, while continuing to deliver the research-backed insights producers rely on to support informed herd decisions.

Dart Pricing: Two Clear Bundles

Dart is now offered in two simplified pricing bundles, replacing the previous à-la-carte structure. This approach replaces multiple add-ons with predictable, bundled pricing.

Dart Core

Includes:

Dart software
HerdHQ
PocketDairy

Dart Core is designed for herds that want essential herd management tools with clear, predictable pricing.

Dart Pro

Includes everything in Dart Core, plus:

AMR interfaces
Heat Monitoring interfaces
Networking

Dart Pro is designed for herds using advanced tools and integrations - now included in a single, simplified bundle.

Interface & Advanced Feature Users

For herds using interfaces and advanced features, these capabilities are now included in Dart Pro, rather than billed separately. In the future, if an interface provider charges DRMS a separate fee, that cost may be passed through to the customer.

Aligns advanced tools into one predictable bundle
Reduces billing surprises and simplifies long-term planning

DHIA Printed Reports

DHIA printed reports remain priced separately and continue to be offered à la carte.
This pricing update focuses on Dart software and processing fees and does not change DHIA report pricing.

Notes for Consultants and Dart Independent Users

Dart Independent: Pricing for Dart Independent is currently under review and will be finalized and communicated separately. No changes to Dart Independent pricing are included in the February 1, 2026 update.
Consultant Dart Download Users: Beginning February 1, consultants who purchase Dart Download will receive access to HerdHQ at no charge from the download test date through the herd’s next test date.
